Published 14 November 2015 by JT

Hallo ,
For the last 9 or so months I have been involved in a great collaboration between the University of East London, Sound and Music and Bigga Fish for UFest , the London Youth Festival.
We have all been working together to create opportunities for the students at UEL to perform new music works in the London Aquatics Centre in Stratford.Swimming with music is a week long series of performances in the the Aquatics Centre, Stratford. The music students from University of East London have been working over 7 weeks to create original live music compositions which are to be performed while the general public are swimming. During the project our students have been mentored by professional musicians Shiva Feshareki , MatthaisKispert ,Tim Murray- Browne, and Jackie Walduck.

I have led the project for UEL in with collaborators Sound and Music and Bigga Fish.

An incredible week . Very special music and spaces from everyone involved. New friends made. Great work from all my students and the amazing artists that were working with them.

This week I was making music in the one place which I think I love the most the swimming pool

So hallo to the next week and thank you to the last.

Sonnet William Shakespeare

When most I wink , then do mine eyes best see,

For all the day they view things unrespected;

And darkly bright, are bright in dark directed

Then thou whose shadows shadows doth make bright

How would they shadows shadows form a happy show

To the clear day with they much clearer light

With unseeing eyes they shade shines so !

How would I say , mine eyes be blessed made

By looking on thee in the living day

When in dead night they fair imperfect shade

through heavy sleep on slightness eyes doth stay!

All days are nights to see till I see thee
