Hallo, My work is being shown in the Chinese open in Trafalgar Square at the moment. It is the score from ‘We will not deny’ the 3rd moment of Anga Rita 2015. Agna Rita was commissioned for the Maga Carter 800 celebrations in 2015 in Lincoln as part of the Frequency Festival. The commission was supported by the PRS Women Making Music Fund,Arts Council of England and Britten Pears.I have also written a version for vocal ensemble.

Strange times.I have friends that are feeling the stigma of being marginalised because of their faith,I know of people that may have to leave the uk because of their nationality.I'm not a cultural music theorist nor a musicologist I'm a composer, I write with the sounds around me, abstracting them into altered forms, trying to capture sensations, reactions and emotions. I feel my sounds are like life forms, they have a past, a present and an imagined future. In this world at the moment, my eyes and ears have suddenly had to adjust their focus ... I'm someone who doesn't mind looking into the unknown, I can face a blank page and not shudder , but, this change in focus tastes of racism, marginalization and discrimination. As artists we question decisions, examine evidence, imagine the future, look at moments of consequence, listen to dreams, creating meaningful works that people can find moments of expression in.We can create the impossible and we can break through assumptions by being open minded. I think its really important to keep up our commitment to writing music even through all this change,it might be hard but keep on writing.
